HOW Van

health on wheels

Reaching the far corners of our County

In 2016 Wallowa Valley Center for Wellness began the Health on Wheels or HOW van which allows us to serve the far reaches of the 3,152 square miles of our county, meeting people where they’re at and who might otherwise have limited access to services. Our goal is elimination of any barriers to access mental health and medical services for all Wallowa County residents, regardless of location.

Health on Wheels or HOW Van brings mental health, medical, dental, and holistic health alternatives to the most geographically isolated areas of our community - Imnaha, Troy, and Wallowa every month.

Services available include:

  • Mental health screenings and treatment
  • Medical services
  • Dental screenings and referrals
  • Immunizations
  • Insurance application assistance
  • Case management
  • Referral assistance
  • Employment services
  • Housing assistance
  • Alcohol and Drug Screenings

Come see the HOW Van from 10am- 1pm at the following locations:

2nd Friday of every month: Wallowa, Oregon located at Wallowa Senior Center

3rd Friday of every month: Imnaha, Oregon located at the Imnaha School

4th Friday of every month: Troy, Oregon located at the Troy School
